Five layers, one team.
A soil scientist reads a pit from the surface down. We read a product the same way, from what people touch to what the hardware does.
O horizon, the surface
Product and launch
The surface decides whether anything underneath gets used. We work out what is worth building, then give it a name, a position and a route to market.
- Validation before code
- Short, cheap tests that decide whether an idea earns a build. The go and stop criteria are written down before the test runs.
- Naming and positioning
- Trademark, domain, brand-conflict and social handle checks before a name is committed, then positioning built on a real teardown of the competition.
- Launch and distribution
- App store listings, search and answer-engine optimization, analytics, and channel plans for social, video, email and communities.
- Careful claims
- Review of marketing copy in health and other regulated categories, so what a product says matches what it can stand behind.
Tools we use: App Store Connect, Google Search Console, X, Reddit, TikTok, YouTube
A horizon, the topsoil
Mobile apps
We build iOS and Android apps from one codebase and take them through store review ourselves, from the first build to the subscription that pays for it.
- One codebase, every platform
- Expo and React Native apps for iOS, Android and the web, with the native detail that keeps them feeling at home on each.
- Local-first data
- Apps that keep working without a connection, with data stored on the device. Running costs stay low and people’s information stays closer to them.
- Subscriptions and purchases
- Paywalls, products, entitlements and trials set up end to end across the app stores and the billing layer.
- Store submission
- Automated builds and submission through EAS and the App Store Connect API, including the work of answering review feedback and getting through it.
Tools we use: Expo, React Native, TypeScript, RevenueCat, EAS, App Store Connect API
B horizon, the subsoil
Web platforms and data
We build multi-user web products on Postgres, with the permissions, billing and operations that a real business depends on.
- Product web apps
- Fast, typed web applications with Next.js and React, from dashboards and portals to dense professional tools.
- Data and access control
- Postgres schemas with row-level security, tested migrations, and encrypted backups that are restored in drills, not assumed to work.
- Payments and plans
- Stripe subscriptions and webhooks with verified signatures, and a single authority for what each plan can do, so limits hold everywhere.
- Operations
- Deployment, scheduled jobs and alarms that say when a routine has stopped running, so problems surface in a day rather than a month.
Tools we use: Next.js, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Supabase, Stripe, Vercel, Render
C horizon, the parent material
Applied AI
We put models to work on narrow, useful tasks: reading a photo, structuring a document, searching a large body of text, or drafting work inside a tool.
- Vision and documents
- Turning photos, PDFs and messy paperwork into structured data a product can act on.
- Search and research
- Full-text search and model-assisted research over large public document collections, with results people can check against the source.
- Assistants inside the work
- Assistants that act in the tool itself, drafting real output in the product rather than talking about it in a side panel.
- Generated media
- Image and video generation pipelines, including queueing, watermarking and delivery.
- Cost control
- Usage reserved in a single transaction before each model call, so parallel requests and failures can’t run past a limit.
Tools we use: Claude, Gemini, OpenAI models, fal, FFmpeg
R horizon, the bedrock
Simulation and embedded systems
We write the kind of software that has to agree with the real world, including circuit simulation and microcontroller emulation that run in a browser.
- Circuit simulation
- AC, DC and operating-point SPICE analysis, with schematic capture and PCB layout in the browser.
- Microcontroller emulation
- AVR, PIC and RP2040 emulation that runs firmware alongside a simulated circuit, so code and hardware can be tested together.
- Virtual instruments
- A software bench of instruments, sensors and live controls for probing a design as it runs.
- Connected device design
- System and firmware design for sensor devices using ESP32 and nRF parts, BLE, GPS and LTE-M, along with the mobile app that goes with them.
Tools we use: SPICE, Arduino, ESP32, nRF, BLE, TypeScript
